Dakota Chenevert

Dakota Chenevert is the current general counsel and corporate secretary for Gray & Company Inc., a financial service holding company headquartered in Metairie, Louisiana. Gray & Company Inc.’s subsidiary companies include The Gray Insurance Company, Gray Surplus Lines Insurance Company, and The Gray Oil & Gas Company.

Dakota earned his J.D. cum laude in 2016 from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. While in law school, he was both a Paul M. Hebert and Chancellor’s Scholar. Prior to law school, Dakota graduated from Louisiana State University in 2012, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication.

Dakota is active in the Louisiana State Bar Association. For the June 2025-June 2027 term, Dakota will represent the 24th District in the LSBA House of Delegates. He is also a member of New Orleans Mardi Gras’s Krewe of Endymion.

Dakota is honored to serve on the board of directors for TrainingGrounds, Inc., and help bring its mission to families in the Greater New Orleans area.
